Capturing Love in Paradise: Alondra and Andrew’s Destination Wedding at Casa España, Old San Juan, Puerto Rico

If you’re looking for a stunning Puerto Rico wedding venue, you need to consider Casa España in Old San Juan. This picturesque location was the perfect backdrop for Alondra and Andrew’s romantic wedding, which celebrated their beautiful love story and deep cultural roots.

Alondra and Andrew first met while deployed in Spain, and their journey led them to choose a venue that echoed their connection to Spanish culture. In a remarkable leap of faith, they selected Casa España sight unseen, showcasing their adventurous spirits and love for one another. As a native Puerto Rican photographer it feels me with joy when couples choose to get married on the island, but to do it in an act of faith made capturing their day all the more memorable.

The day began with the bridesmaids and Alondra getting ready at a charming Airbnb just minutes from the venue. One of the highlights of marrying in Old San Juan is the abundance of lovely accommodations, perfect for gathering friends and family. The excitement was palpable as Alondra prepared for one of the most important days of her life.

Meanwhile, Andrew waited anxiously at Casa España, but a humorous moment arose when he realized he had forgotten his boutonniere. Fortunately, his best man was quickly on the case! As I wrapped up the bridal portraits, the much-needed boutonniere found its way to Andrew, ensuring he was ready to greet his bride.

All of Andrew’s nervousness evaporated the moment Alondra walked down the aisle. She was breathtaking, captivating everyone in attendance. The ceremony was performed by Andrew’s brother, a man of faith, which added a heartfelt touch to their vows. Surrounded by family and friends, they shared promises entwined with love and devotion. In a beautiful conclusion, those closest to them gathered for prayer, creating a touching moment that celebrated their commitment.

Following the ceremony, we took advantage of Casa España’s gorgeous Spanish architecture to create stunning portraits of the newlyweds. The vibrant colors and intricate details provided an ideal backdrop for Alondra and Andrew’s love story. We also opted for a stylized set of photos featuring the groomsmen and bridesmaids, adding a playful and dynamic element to their wedding album.

The reception was a lively affair, bursting with Mexican traditions. Guests joyfully danced around a hat and rushed through a human bridge while downing tequila shots. One of the evening’s most memorable moments was when Alondra and Andrew made their way through the dance floor with a water gun filled with tequila, playfully dispensing shots as Bad Bunny’s “Chambea Jala” set the festive tone. Their infectious energy kept the celebration alive throughout the night!

As a Puerto Rico wedding photographer, I am passionate about capturing genuine emotions and candid moments that highlight the joy of such a significant day. Alondra and Andrew’s wedding was not only a beautiful celebration of their love but also a vibrant fusion of cultural traditions that made it a truly unforgettable destination wedding in Puerto Rico.

If you’re considering a wedding in Puerto Rico, look no further than Casa España in Old San Juan. This stunning venue offers a perfect setting to create lifelong memories, just like those of Alondra and Andrew. Their special day is a reminder that love is an adventure, best experienced with joy and laughter.
